Dr. Cohen was born and raised in Los Angeles. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology graduating Summa Cum Laude with College Honors and Departmental Highest Honors from UCLA in 1990. In 1994, she graduated with Honors from UCLA Medical School and was elected a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, an Honors Medical Society. Dr. Cohen completed her pediatric residency at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles from 1994 to 1997 where she earned the John M. Adams award for Excellence in Pediatrics.

Dr. Cohen worked as a pediatrician in Los Angeles from 1997 to 2001. In October 2001, Dr. Cohen relocated to Reno with her family and joined Northern Nevada Pediatrics. Dr. Cohen is currently one of 4 pediatrician/owners of this group.

Dr. Cohen has been married to Steve Cohen since 1994 and they have two wonderful daughters, Laura and Jamie. All are active in the community and enjoy spending free time together. Some of Dr. Cohen's hobbies are reading, traveling, playing games, pinball, scuba diving, and shopping with her daughters.
